We are *officially* done!

First off, you should have all received your marks for your final papers/projects. If you shared a doc with me on Google, you will find my comments & your mark at the end of the document. If you sent me an email with a link to your project, I have responded to that message with my comments & your grade. Let me know if you haven't received your mark from me or if you have any questions about my comments. Also, let me just say how thrilled I was by your final projects -- you guys all did great! Your creativity and thoughtfulness makes me excited for the future of this profession.

Week 14: Wrap-up

1. Has your view of social software changed since starting this course? If so, how?

When I started this course, I initially thought that I knew nothing about social software. Later, I realized that I had either looked into or tried many of them early on, did not find them particularly useful, and forgot that I even knew about them. Web 2.0 stuff have become popular and more user friendly as time went on, so it was good to rediscover some of them and learn about the newer ones I’ve missed.

Late is better than never, I hope! My responses to the questions laid out last week are as follows:

That's a Wrap!

Moving onward into the land of Web 2.0

I’m in total agreement about how quickly this semester has flown by – shocking! Hard to believe this is my final blog post…but here we go with answers to the lucky 7 questions:

And so we reach the end...

Hard to believe this is my last class blog entry; has it really been a semester already? When I first started this course I was a casual user of the web 2.0, using some of the tools we’ve discussed on a personal and professional level. Some tools I liked, some I didn’t, and a few I even looked down upon. Since the course’s introduction however, I have gained much more insight into the possibilities social software can present, and a significant amount of respect for tools I didn’t use or care for, such as MySpace and Flickr.

Last weekly post :(

Hello everyone,

I find it incredible to believe that the semester is already over.  I have learned so much from this course that I'm not sure that I can condense it all into one blog post, but I'll do my best.  My view of social software has changed significantly since the beginning of this semester.  At the start of the semester I knew how to use facebook (minimally), but now I know how to use, and am not frightened by, all kinds of different web 2.0 social software applications.

Is it really over?
