About

This is the course blog for LIS 9763: Social Software and Libraries, a graduate course offered during the Winter 2009 term through the Faculty of Information and Media Studies at the University of Western Ontario. The course is taught through distance education and uses a grab-bag of social tools (like blogs, RSS, social bookmarking, etc.) as its mode of delivery and communication. This site is the course hub and runs on Drupal 6.

My name is Amanda Etches-Johnson and I am the course instructor. I am also the User Experience Librarian at McMaster University Library, and I frequently speak and publish on social media, emerging technologies, and web design. My regular blogging venue is blogwithoutalibrary.net.
