Individuals dictating the course of government, consumer goods, these were crazy ideas not too long ago. In the web 2.0 world we have; Obama, consumer forums, and YouTube. The way the world conducts business is changing. Yet there are still naysayers that doubt the existence of this culture change—one of those naysayers is my sister.
The new mix tape
Submitted by alison on Thu, 03/26/2009 - 16:45I can remember my favourite mix tape. I was seventeen—the boy who gave it to me moved to Red Deer the following day. Half was dedicated to music he thought I would like, the other half was his music. Whenever I’m in Winnipeg, and close to my old tape player, I listen to it.

I am a gamer; I grew up playing Turbo 16, NES, and Atari. My brother was once a die hard Civ III player. Last weekend, I went to an Anime conference to help my cousin sell used video games (It was a whole new level of nerdy). Social bookmarking and tagging-- yes please!
Submitted by alison on Thu, 02/26/2009 - 21:35The world wide web is a large dumping of information. If you want it, it's out there! Anything, all without any standard classification schemes. Terabytes of information sitting on my PC, your laptop, a server belonging to some guy on the other side of the world, everywhere, and anywhere in between. To help navigate this information beast, people bookmark and tag information. This is great, for the individual user. What about the rest of us? Cue social bookmarking and tagging.
