We are *officially* done!
Submitted by amanda on Sat, 04/18/2009 - 23:32First off, you should have all received your marks for your final papers/projects. If you shared a doc with me on Google, you will find my comments & your mark at the end of the document. If you sent me an email with a link to your project, I have responded to that message with my comments & your grade. Let me know if you haven't received your mark from me or if you have any questions about my comments. Also, let me just say how thrilled I was by your final projects -- you guys all did great! Your creativity and thoughtfulness makes me excited for the future of this profession.

Week 12: Marketing & Evaluation
Submitted by amanda on Sat, 03/28/2009 - 16:57With week 12, we have "officially" finished looking at the actual tools of web 2.0, and we're moving on to reading/thinking about and discussing some of the issues around implementing these tools in libraries and information organizations. Many of you have already unearthed some of these issues over the past 11 weeks and discussed them in your blog posts. This week, I'd like you to take a step back and think about how you might market new 2.0 services and evaluate their effectiveness in an information organization.

Week 8: Folksonomies
Submitted by amanda on Sat, 02/28/2009 - 17:18On to week 8! This week we're taking a closer look at folksonomies, which builds directly on last week's conversations around Social Bookmarking & Tagging. This week we look at the advantages and limitations of folksonomies & distributed classification, paying particular attention to how these trends impact libraries and library services (such as OPACs). All content for this week is right here.
Here are a couple of reminders for this week:
